Paper and Ribbon Measurements

Step 1:

Cut a 4 x 5 1/4 section of Whisper White card stock and emboss it with the Brick Wall Textured Embossing folder.  You will want your bricks going side to side as shown in the main picture.

Step 2:

Card Base- I used Island Indigo for my card base.  Cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and score at 4 1/4

Step 3:

You will need a small section of paper for the “FRIEND” Stamp.  Mine was 2 1/2 x 3 .  You will be fussy cutting this stamp out.

Step 4:

Ribbon is cut at 8 inches each. I allowed for space to fold over the back of the brick wall section.  Ribbon used is Pink Pirouette 1/2 Seam Binding Ribbon and Sahara Sand 7/8 Lace Trim.

Background Coloring :

For this I used Smoky Slate, Tip Top Taupe, Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette.   I used two of the Daubers, using the same one for all the dark colors. This video will show you how I did the background.

Images:

Follow the pictures below to stamp your flowers. You can really do this anyway you like. I used Memento Black Ink to stamp with.

Next color in your flowers and leaves with Pink Pirouette and Island Indigo markers and leaves with Old Olive.  Then you will want to stamp your dragonfly in Island Indigo on Vellum paper and dip in glitter if you wish. Let this dry for a while and then fussy cut the wings out to use on your dragonfly.  Use your Island Indigo marker to color only the body part of the stamp and stamp it on your card.

Cut out your friend tag and place it on the ribbon in the center of the card. Once your cover is done attach it to the Island Indigo cardstock.
